Uruma City, Yonashiro Seinenkai
Program:Yonashiro EisaOur District
Our district is relatively small, with a population of 1554. Although it is a smaller district, it is an energetic one, led by the enthusiastic younger generations participating in various seinenkai and other activities.
Our Group
Our regular activities include clean up throughout the district and our participation in the traditional events in the region. It is “our style” to be involved in the Yonashiro district activities throughout the year.
Description of Our Performance
Our eisa begins with the “heads” of the Yonashiro Eisa, Sanda and Macha, dancing and inviting the seinenkai members. The members are dressed in costumes with the basic colors of black and white, and each group of drummers, dancers and others dance their quiet, refined moves gracefully. Each and every movement of the dance speaks of the precious traditions that we have inherited from our forefathers.
Our Aspirations for this Festival
We’re looking forward to putting on even a better performance than last year and look for your support.
